InView USB -1 USB to Serial Port Adapter
USB to Serial Port Converters are a great tool for when your computer does not have an available serial port. These small devices allow you send and receive NMEA 0183 through your PC’s USB port.

An NMEA multiplexer, also called combiner, solves the problem of multiple NMEA Inputs by offering an intermediate storage of sentences.  There is a buffer for every input, large enough to contain several sentences. Subsequently, the multiplexer checks every buffer in a round-robin fashion for the presence of sentences.  Each time, one sentence is taken from a buffer and sent to the NMEA output of the multiplexer.  More Information
